Darling Donkeys

Maybe its the farm girl in me, but I just love these donkeys! They are playful and fun, and sure to bring  smile to anyone who receives a card with a Darling Donkey on it! This card was so easy to make, just make a reg sized card, 8 1/2 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 . Then I just cut it half way down on the fold... and cut across.. to get the "barn door" effect... used the piece that I cut off to mat behind my Donkey piece! I used all 3 donkeys on this card!

Because I put in an order of 50.00 with Stampin up! I was able to get this stamp set free, and another order of 50.00, I got the pretty dsp ( designer series paper) free too! I love Free , don't you??

These cards would be fun to get anytime of the year, not just at Valentines Day! They are so simple and easy to make. I made these before I had my foil seen here  . I think once I use them the hearts will pop even more... Oh I forgot to add one supply... its on page 11 of the January to June catalog,  Its called Love You Always Specialty dsp , isn't it pretty? so shinny and bright! I love the way these colors ( and I am NOT a Sahara sand fan) co ordinate so nicely ! Who woulda thought ??  If you need a catalog to drool over in person, and do not have a Stampin Up demo, I would be happy to pop one in the mail to you! Just let me know!

As promised here is the one sheet wonder I used on the last set of cards . Start with a 6 x 6 sheet of designer series paper and cut into 4 pieces of 3 x 3

You will end up with this . Cut each of the 3 x 3 squares  apart as shown above... you will leave one at 3x3.  Refer to the picture for cutting measurements!

Now you add each of the  3 x 3  squares that you have cut apart and put them on a 31/4 x41/2 piece of cardstock , add a piece of 1 x3 white cardstock for your greeting.

This is what they look like on the coordinting card stock . Now just add them to your card base and boom, you are ready to roll! Add punches or die cuts and your greeting. These are so much fun!
Here are some I made with my granddaughter for Christmas . We used the In good Taste dsp ( 152494) now on sale for $17.85 reg  $21.00 as our background.. we cut it 4 x 5 1/4
