Sping cards

I'm  baaaaaaaaaaaack! Finally! I think I finally figured out what I was doing wrong and have    "retrained" my brain!!
How may times have you made a beautiful card on the outside, and then messed up the inside ?? I have done this to many times to count! Did you know there are a couple of ways to fix this. The most simple way that works for me.. I simply restamp the image and a separte piece of paper and either punch it out with a fun punch and use dementionals to cover your "Boo Boo" or cut around the image and adhere it to the "accident" using your adhesive of choice. Lately I've been "fixing" a lot of "Boo Boo's" and most times its been a Happy accident. I end up liking the fixed card better than the original !

  Here is a peak of my spring cards class.. of course St Pats day is over so I will be adding some more springy cards to do instead. Also in the picture is a peak of my watercolor  class.
   The spring card class is Wed and Thurs evening  (March 20 and 21) at 7pm. and Thurs morning at 9:30 am.
  The watercolor class is scheduled for the week of March 25th.

Greeting from the Rain Capitol !

Hi everyone.! This is day 1 of my first Alaskan Adventure on my own.  Well not so much on my own as the first "big" vacation since my sweet hubby died 2 year ago. I am visiting his sister in Ketchikan Alaska... It has been a bittersweet day.... love being here, but also knowing how much my Ford would have loved it as well! I did bring some of his ashes...
 It rained most all day, but hey, when you are in a rain forest, I understand this is what you get! Still its great being here!
Yesterday I got to meet 3 stamping friends in person... we've been chatting on line since 2006.... and finally got to meet at the Seattle airport... 2 hour and tons of giggles later, we are even closer now.  no new cards to show you tonight... didnt even bring stampin stuff... I figure I;ll miss it later, right now I am helping get things done for Fords neices wedding.... exciting stuff!! I miss my Michigan people.. but will be home in 2 weeks!
Right now I am enjoying the cooler weather and am wishing I could get this rain back to the Detroit area.

Mothers Day

This was my daughters Mothers Day card.. a very simple card, really! Its called a shadow box card. The envelopes matches and I made that too! It was very easy using the diagonal plate for my simply scored tool.
Now that I seem to have fixed my blog probs.. I hope to have a new post every week.. Note that I said HOPE!

Baby Erin baptism

The youngest member of our sweet little family will be baptised soon. That is a good reason to celebrate life!! And of course we need to let everyone know so they will come to her party..  this is the design our daughter and I came up with. Many thanks to Stampin Connection , as this is where we got our idea from... I just love that about Stampin Up!, as demonstrators we share ideas with each other!

Lots of Jan birthdays!

Happy Janurary and that means  a couple of someones have birthdays in my family. This particular card went out to my oldest brother.. I like the Bold Bright Colors I used that match the DSP from the main cataglog..Its called BigTop... altho I do not have the corresponding stamp set I thought it went well for a birthday theme. This card was soo easy I decided we should make this at our Stamp Class at Church Monday evening!
